The Genomics Working Group is interested in the applications and generation of Genomics data in biotechnological processes. The Genomics Workgroup is the youngest formation within the NBV and focuses on both the biotech industry (pharma and agriculture) and biotech & life sciences academia. The objective of the Genomics working group is to apply knowledge exchange to keep each other up to date in the rapidly developing sequencing and genotyping technologies. We do this by creating a common network of both academic and industrial members, organizing webinars and discussing societal issues such as data regulation. The focus topics that will be covered include an entire biotech workflow from sampling, DNA/RNA extractions, library preps, sequencing/genotyping but also to bio-informatics analyses and gene synthesis.
We aim to organize at least two activities per year where such topics can be discussed. We will also provide a breakout session during the annual NBC event. We look forward to meeting you to exchange knowledge.
