This working group mainly focuses on the field of enzyme applications: biocatalysis. A meeting (BiocatNL) is organized annually in which academic and industrial speakers present recent developments. Topics covered include enzyme discovery, enzyme engineering, and development of new (industrial) applications. These meetings are open to everyone and free for NBV members. In addition to the scientific program aimed at knowledge transfer, there is always room for interactions. The meetings are ideally suited to follow the latest developments and to familiarize yourself with the landscape of applied biocatalysis in the Netherlands. In addition to the annual BiocatNL meetings, the working group contributes to the NBC program. For questions or suggestions, please contact Marco Fraaije (m.w.fraaije@rug.nl).
