On the 14th of April 2016, during the NBC-16 "NEXT Level Biotechnology" Dr. Bert Hamelers was Awarded the Zilveren Zandloper Innovation Award.
Bert Hamelaars is scientific director for Wetsus and a driving person behind multiple successful innovations which contribute to the main challenges of the 21st century. His excellent work in applied research resulted in 22 international patents and three succesful spin-offs: Plant-e, ChainCraft and REDStrack Blue Energy.
