The Dutch biotechnology society (NBV) awards the ‘Zilveren Zandloper’ every two years at the Dutch biotechnology congress (NBC). This award consists of a little statue (‘Zilveren Zandloper’) and price money, €2,500, to be spent freely by the winner. The award is sponsored by the Dutch foundation for biotechnology (SBN).
The ‘Zilveren Zandloper’ is awarded in two categories. The innovation price is granted to researchers or entrepeneurs that apply scientific biotechnological knowledge in a special, innovative way. The educational award is granted to teachers that contributed in an original way to biotechnological education.
The board of NBV invites you to propose candidates in one or both categories. You can propose candidates until the 3rd of January 2010 by filling out this form and mailing it to Jan Kok (jan.kok@rug.nl) or Christien Lokman (christien.lokman@han.nl). More information on the ‘Zilveren Zandloper’ can be found in this fact sheet. Please note that both the form and fact sheet are Dutch.
